Strawberries Are Great—But So Is Skepticism

Strawberries are in season, and every wellness headline wants you to know they’re basically MAGIC. Memory! Blood pressure! Longevity! But let’s zoom out for a sec, shall we?

Here’s what most of those glowing fruit articles forget to mention:

The reason strawberries (or blueberries, or açai, or whatever the berry-of-the-moment is) get so much airtime? They’re backed by industry groups who fund the studies.

Is the science fake? Not necessarily. But is it the full picture? Also no.

Strawberries are great. So are blueberries. But health doesn’t come from hype—it comes from habits.

Most research isn’t comparing strawberries to raspberries or blackberries or red currants. So when you see, “Strawberries improve memory!” what it actually means is, “We tested strawberries—not that they’re better than other berries.”

TRY THIS

Next time you see a study hyping (or denigrating) a single food, try this mindset shift:

✔ Ask who funded it

✔ Celebrate it as part of a healthy diet, not the holy grail

✔ Enjoy a full mix of fruits and vegetables—variety is the real MVP

💛Inside The Wonderfulness Community, we don’t fall for food fads. We nourish strength with curiosity, variety, and a little seasonal sweetness.
